Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for physician assessment
  • Record and maintain patient medical data in patient charts
  • Assist physicians with answering phone requests from patients and other medical professionals
  • Perform various physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures
  • Maintain equipment, instruments, and supply inventory levels
  • Support the vision, mission, and values of the organization
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Current MA certification from a recognized organization (e.g., AMT, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP, NHA)
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Ability to travel to business functions, trainings, and meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of Medical Assisting experience
  • Current American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) certification
Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent exposure to patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The ability to maintain confidentiality and meet all HIPAA requirements is essential.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires standing, walking, and keyboard operation for extended periods. The ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 1-25 pounds is also required.
