About the Role

Benjamin Moore & Co is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to join our sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and market share expansion in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Focus on delivering exceptional customer service by demonstrating a consultative approach, operating with honesty and integrity, and providing a highly responsive level of service.
  • Relationship Building: Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your customers by bringing a dynamic mix of technical knowledge, business acumen, and a thoughtful customer approach to the table.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and cultivate relationships to increase profitability and sales growth for both Benjamin Moore and our partners.
  • Business Development: Drive, orchestrate, and close opportunities with key partners to produce transformative business outcomes.
  • Sales Enablement: Leverage professional solution-based selling skills to meet customer needs while utilizing selling tools provided.
  • New Business Development: Seek and qualify new business in accordance with Company account stratification goals.
  • Customer Insights
  • Product and Service Development: Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet demands.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication, listening, and public speaking skills with the ability to listen, negotiate, and effectively persuade others.
  • Relationship Building: Be a real people-person who lives for building relationships and thrives in interpersonal settings while demonstrating an ability to forge strong, positive business relationships.
  • Self-Discipline and Organization: Possess a high degree of self-discipline, organization, and effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Accountability and Autonomy: Demonstrate an innate sense of accountability, self-motivation, and comfort with autonomy.
  • Teamwork and Persistence: Demonstrate teamwork ability and persistence when dealing with customers as well as company departments related to the selling function.
  • Outcome-Driven: Be able to drive outcomes and meet expectations, not afraid to follow-up and give/take feedback.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, confident, enthusiastic, and a friendly demeanor.
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Be able to analyze situations and identify opportunities for success.
  • Decision Making and Problem-Solving: Possess effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM experience a plus.
  • Education and Experience: 1+ years field sales experience and college degree preferred (previous paint experience not required).
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Travel Requirements: Be willing and able to travel within the region and work evenings/weekends when necessary.
