The role of the Bill of Materials Analyst involves a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at supporting engineering applications and processes related to part number creation, return analysis, and enhancing BOM utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for engineering applications and processes.
  • Assist in specific components of more complex projects.
  • Input and maintain Drawing Management and Bill of Material (BOM) data for various parts.
  • Load and manage BOMs, including parent and component relationships.
  • Update and distribute BOM Notes and Part Description Tables, along with the Material Code Book.
  • Create new part numbers and analyze returns to optimize BOM usage.
  • Compile job-specific drawing books and assembly plans for production.
  • Notify relevant parties of any changes to BOMs or existing orders.
  • Support production and inventory management by efficiently handling a high volume of communications.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or
  • Associate's degree with a minimum of 3 years in a related role; or
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in a Bill of Materials support position.
  • Proficient in understanding spoken information and ideas.
  • Skilled in using computers and various software applications to fulfill job duties.
  • Experience with office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office, SalesForce, Mass100, and Google Docs.
  • Capable of performing daily administrative tasks, including maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Able to communicate effectively with various departments through multiple channels.
