Position Overview:
The Patient Care Support Specialist plays a vital role in executing established processes and protocols.

This position collaborates effectively with all care team members to uphold the organization's vision and mission, deliver outstanding customer service, and comply with Lean methodologies.

Assists teams in achieving financial, clinical, and service objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
Check-In Duties:
- Verify insurance details and ensure all documentation is accurately completed and signed.
- Obtain necessary consents from patients for procedures.
- Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
- Assess eligibility for all Health Plan patients and update records accordingly.
- Document patient interactions and ensure proper handling of films/disks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office and waiting area.
- Generate schedules for medical assistants and physicians.
- Prepare progress notes and patient summaries.
- Manage no-show communications and follow-up tasks.
- Process payments and reconcile daily financial logs.

Check-Out Duties:
- Interpret physician orders and schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
- Input referrals into the designated medical portal.
- Facilitate interventional radiology tasks and provide patients with required documentation.
- Adjust physician schedules as needed.
- Request medical records as directed by physicians.
- Organize documents accurately for processing.
- Ensure workspaces are clean and stocked for the following day.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical front office setting.
- Familiarity with Nevada health insurance for at least 1 year.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to travel as needed to cover other locations.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Experience with cash handling.
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
- Understanding of medical terminology.

Soft Skills:
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
