  • Position Overview

Join the Coram/CVS team as a Healthcare Patient Support Specialist.

This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service, directly engaging with patients, healthcare providers, caregivers, and internal teams to address inquiries, resolve issues, provide education, and uphold our esteemed reputation for quality service. It necessitates independent and proactive performance. The primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new infusion patients within CVS Specialty and Coram. This position demands a solid understanding of insurance, healthcare processes, referral management, patient education, and routine assessment and problem-solving skills.

Utilize your healthcare training or administrative expertise and customer service abilities to positively impact patients' lives by facilitating new patient referrals and admissions. Coram CVS/specialty infusion services is a recognized leader in the home infusion and enteral services field. This role presents a uniquely rewarding opportunity to apply your skills and experiences in support of an innovative specialty pharmacy operation.

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday

Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)

Days Off: Sunday and Monday
No on-call weekends required.

Required Qualifications

  • Availability to work Tuesday - Saturday
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in medical insurance
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
  • Experience in payment collection
  • Able to multitask effectively
  • Capable of managing high-volume queues
  • Strong attendance record
  • Willingness to work on holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare insurance and medical terminology is preferred.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus.

Education
A verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

Compensation Overview

The typical pay range for this position is:

$ $28.46

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for all roles within this job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and other relevant considerations. This position is eligible for a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range mentioned above.
