Postdoctoral Research Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral fellow to join our research team at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in mentored research, gaining experience in primary qualitative data collection, integrative data analysis, implementation science, and evaluation.
About the FellowshipThe fellowship is a one-year full-time position, with potential for extension, subject to performance review. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Lee and U01 investigators to tailor the fellowship to their individual development plan, further develop research knowledge and skills, and establish their own program of research.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct primary qualitative data collection and integrative data analysis
- Develop and submit manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
- Participate as a co-investigator on multi-disciplinary team science
- Guidance and support in grant writing and budget development
- Pedagogic opportunities to provide lectures and/or small group teaching
- PhD or equivalent education in public health or a health research-focused social science within the last 4 years
- Experience in qualitative methods
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
The University of Kansas Medical Center offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, health expense accounts, employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and various additional voluntary insurance plans. Paid time off, including vacation and sick, begins accruing upon hire, plus ten paid holidays. One paid discretionary day is available after six months of employment, and paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, military service, and parental leave is available after 12 months of employment.
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $47,476.00 to $80,000.00, with a starting salary of $65,000.00, subject to relevant work experience and/or years post-PhD.
