Morgan Olson LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our electrical engineering functions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, validating, integrating, and launching electrical components and systems that meet customer requirements and organizational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and drive all electrical engineering projects to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
- Design, implement, maintain, test, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
- Verify that electrical engineering staff coordinates manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
- Implement policies and procedures for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining electronic devices or systems.
- Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
- Provide daily oversight of the electrical engineering staff.
- Schedule, delegate, and follow up on electrical engineering projects.
- Validate detailed calculations performed by other electrical engineers.
- Compile data and write reports regarding projects in progress.
- Support and participate in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts.
- Adhere to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer-focused, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Adhere to Safety policies and practices behavioral-based safety 100% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 7-10 years of experience in a related manufacturing field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing teams of Electrical Engineers (3-5 years' experience).
- Problem-solving skills using various techniques and tools such as A3, 8D or similar.
- Familiar with FMVSS and DOT regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
