**Job Summary**

As a Signs and Markings Technician with the State of Texas, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all traffic equipment. This includes replacing damaged or weathered regulatory and guidance signs, adding new, replacing or repainting all pavement markings and legends, and fabricating, assembling, and installing traffic signs, poles, and street name signs. You will also be responsible for inventorying and inspecting signs and markings to ensure they are in good working condition.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Install, maintain, operate, and repair all traffic equipment
* Replace damaged or weathered regulatory and guidance signs
* Add new, replace or repaint all pavement markings and legends
* Fabricate, assemble, and install traffic signs, poles, and street name signs
* Inventory and inspect signs and markings

**Requirements**

* Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
* Physical stamina to perform manual labor
* Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
