This role is essential for managing daily activities at the project site, working closely with the Trade Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Site Manager. The Field Administrator is responsible for ensuring project cost efficiency, safety compliance, schedule adherence, and quality assurance throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily production and costs, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting to facilitate effective project management.
  • Coordinate schedules with subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers, fostering strong professional relationships to enhance project execution.
  • Review contracts and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy in billing processes.
  • Manage equipment and material transactions, maintaining oversight of inventory levels.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and regulations, assisting in the management of on-site risk programs.
  • Familiarize with project specifications and quality plans, ensuring compliance with established standards and practices.
  • Participate in meetings, documenting key points and generating reports to track project progress.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits and coordinating with local utility companies for project requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy of daily reports from Foremen and Subcontractors, ensuring proper documentation of work performed.
  • Conduct project kick-off and close-out activities, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
  • Initiate Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed and manage the submittal process for client approvals.
  • Support the Project Engineer in document control and field drawing audits to ensure current revisions are utilized.
  • Assist in preparing material requests and pre-construction checks as directed by Trade Superintendents.
  • Monitor consumables on-site to ensure compliance with approved submittals.
  • Help establish crew and equipment matrices, aligning with operational plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong accounting skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and supervisory abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to relocate to project sites as required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Environmental Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and procedures on-site.
  • Train field representatives in environmental stewardship practices.
  • Conduct site reviews to ensure adherence to environmental compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with project management to address environmental concerns and modifications.
  • Monitor stormwater management and erosion control plans, providing regular reports on compliance.
