Job Summary

The Student Care Coordinator is a vital role at Arizona Western College, responsible for connecting students to essential resources and support systems. This position requires a compassionate and resourceful individual who can guide students through challenging situations, promoting their well-being, persistence, and success in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between students and college resources, providing referrals and support to overcome personal and academic challenges.
  • Develop and implement health and wellness programs, initiatives, and services to promote student success and well-being.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to plan and execute events, workshops, and presentations on various topics, including mental health, physical health, and self-care.
  • Provide training and education to students, faculty, and staff on student of concern referral processes and available resources.
  • Work closely with the Behavioral Intervention Team to support students in need and develop effective strategies for student success.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counseling, human relations, education, public health, or a closely related field, and two years of experience in case management, managing services, or referrals.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in human relations, public health, psychology, criminology, sociology, or a closely related field, and three years of experience in case management, managing services, or referrals.
  • OR An equivalent combination of certification, education, and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
Work Environment

The Student Care Coordinator will work in an inside office environment with normal noise and lighting levels. The position requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate workflows and operating procedures.

Physical Demands

The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull a minimum of 20 pounds is also required.
