About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Team Lead to join our team at The Friedkin Group. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading a team of service reliability engineers and support technicians in supporting all aspects of our compute, storage, and database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage all day-to-day tickets, incidents, and related activities of the infrastructure and network for both technical and personnel.
  • Streamline IT Infrastructure Operations: Streamline IT Infrastructure operations tickets and manage expectations with business.
  • Establish Standard Operating Procedures: Establish standard operating procedures, policies, checklists, and processes for regular and routine maintenance of systems.
  • IT Lifecycle Management: Establish and manage IT lifecycle for IT Infrastructure assets including Hosts, Virtual Machines, Patching, Hardware, and Security.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Build and maintains effective monitoring across the infrastructure to ensure proactive monitoring of End-to-End Infrastructure to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.
  • Hardware and Software Lifecycle Maintenance: Manage hardware and software lifecycle maintenance activities.
  • Budgetary Requirements: Establish budgetary requirements for asset refresh, licensing, maintenance agreements and project funding.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analysis and reporting on key metrics required for regular performance, consumption and capacity management.
  • IT Automation: Drives IT automation needs for task level work automation within team.
Staff Management
  • Direct Supervision: Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Resource Planning: Creates and maintains effective resource plans to meet project delivery and steady state operational resourcing requirements.
  • Contractor Management: Manages contractor resources as needed.
Vendor Management
  • Relationship Development: Develops or establishes strong relationships with service providers.
  • Third-Party Maintenance: Coordinates third-party maintenance for hardware and software services.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or comparable experience.
  • Experience: 5-8 Years in Production IT Management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Extensive experience required managing teams with responsibility for completing complex projects on time and within budget. Extensive experience managing complex Active Directory environments. Extensive experience designing secure, hardened and highly available infrastructure solutions. Experience managing multi-tenant Azure and AWS implementations. Experience with Windows and Linux server OS platforms. Experience working with network/system monitoring tools. Ability to troubleshoot problems while providing superior customer service. Detailed understanding of IP addressing and network technologies. ITIL and public cloud certifications a plus.
