  • Design and implement APIs and services on the distributed platform.
  • Formulate a strategic migration plan that addresses the challenges of legacy systems while leveraging the advantages of modern distributed platforms.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to devise efficient data migration strategies for transferring large datasets while ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Serve as the technical lead for migration initiatives, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in distributed architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and operations teams to ensure a unified migration approach.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices throughout the migration process.
  • Establish and uphold architectural governance to maintain system integrity during and after the migration.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for any post-migration issues.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with mainframe systems and transitioning them to distributed platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of CockroachDB or similar distributed SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with mainframe programming languages and modern programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and services.
  • Strong understanding of system integration and data migration methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
