  • Conduct document reviews with clients prior to closing at the title company.
  • Coordinate closing appointments with title companies.
  • File necessary documents to safeguard the bank's lien position on collateral.
  • Offer guidance and training to fellow loan processors in the preparation and verification of loan documents.
  • Facilitate the shipping of recorded documents to investors to finalize transactions.
  • Ensure all documents are copied before being sent to investors.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and manage phone communications.
  • Schedule meetings between clients and loan officers.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters to confirm document accuracy.
  • Request Verification of Employment (VOE) and Verification of Mortgage (VOM) as needed.
  • Gather all required documentation for loan processing, including flood certifications, appraisals, verifications, transcripts, and hazard binders.
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate loan documentation files in accordance with the bank's lending policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and loan originators.
  • Enhance the bank's reputation in the community through involvement in civic and charitable initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Mortgage Loan Manager or Mortgage Operations Manager.

Required Competencies:

  • Thorough knowledge of all real estate products and services offered by the bank.
  • Strong credit and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of loan processing procedures.
  • After a 90-day onboarding and training period, Mortgage Loan Processors should be capable of processing a minimum of 20 mortgage loans monthly, achieving 90% accuracy on each loan file.
  • Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Strong ethical standards and values.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in the real estate sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the ability to learn new software applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed.
