About the Role

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior FPGA Engineer to join our Digital Electronics and Electromagnetics Department in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital signal processing solutions using FPGAs and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital signal processing algorithms and systems using FPGAs and other technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA-based solutions into larger systems
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in FPGA technology and digital signal processing techniques
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in FPGA design and development
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing techniques and algorithms
  • Experience with FPGA development tools such as Vivado and Quartus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with machine learning architectures and GPU-based hardware
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python
  • Knowledge of HDLs such as VHDL and Verilog
