Role Overview
As the Product Manager for the IP Cloud Services division, you will take charge of enhancing and delivering an exceptional experience for Clarivate's clientele.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be on creating tools that streamline routine tasks, offer decision-making support, and promote effective communication among IP professionals, legal experts, and patent offices.
Utilizing the agile scrum framework, you will craft user stories and acceptance criteria, refine the product backlog, and champion the needs of both end-users and the business.
In collaboration with a diverse team of technical and non-technical experts, you will steer the product roadmap and empower cross-functional teams to produce high-quality products.
When faced with challenges, you excel at devising innovative solutions and actively seek customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or technical leadership
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing, cloud-based, SaaS environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional degree in business, analytics, or law
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI Agile Certified (PMI-ACP), or similar certifications
- Experience in Intellectual Property, patents, and trademarks
- Background in developing or supporting software for legal or IP professionals
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM
- Proficiency in a secondary language such as German, French, Serbian, Hindi, or Japanese
- Advanced knowledge of Tableau, SQL, and PowerBI or similar analytics tools.
Responsibilities in Detail
- Plan, prioritize, and deliver products according to specifications while defining both short-term and long-term product roadmaps.
- Ensure timely delivery of new features, bug fixes, and enhancements for Clarivate Connected Services.
- Manage the team backlog, enhancement requests, and feature prioritization.
- Collaborate with the development team to prepare new issues (User Stories and Bugs) for upcoming sprints and approve them post-development.
- Liaise with customer support to clarify, reproduce, prioritize, and provide updates on issues, including escalations and workarounds.
- Ensure that new and existing features provide a compelling experience for end customers, distinguishing Clarivate products from competitors.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify that development aligns with business requirements.
- Work with Quality Assurance and Development Operations to establish Key Performance Metrics (KPIs), testing protocols, system monitoring (dashboards), and alerting mechanisms.
- Ensure the achievement of established KPIs (e.g., released bugs, uptime, QoS).
- Gather and present quantitative product usage data to key stakeholders, particularly in Product Management.
- Generate insights and narratives through the analysis of metrics and a comprehensive understanding of internal processes, partners, and customers.
- Enhance business functions by communicating sprint outcomes and customer feedback.
- Oversee UI texts and Release Notes.
Team Environment
Joining the IP Cloud Services team means becoming part of a global group of product managers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, engaging in technical discussions with engineers, and presenting to senior leadership. The team is results-driven and seeks an individual ready to make a significant impact.
Work Arrangement
This is a full-time position with regular business hours. It offers a hybrid work model, requiring 2-3 days a week in the office.
