About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Developer to join our team at Charles Schwab. As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-based applications using cloud-native technologies such as AWS and GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize cloud-based projects.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure, including containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of cloud-based applications and data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on automation development experience with 4+ years' experience in cloud environments.
  • 5+ years of experience and proficiency in either Java or other object-oriented languages.
  • 5+ years of experience and competency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD build pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience and proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, Ansible, and SaltStack.
  • 5+ years of experience and understanding of systems administration, especially Linux.
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing Kubernetes clusters both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts, including Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications
  • System design experience.
  • Financial industry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with team members across different geographical locations.
