Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager will work closely with the Corporate Controller and CFO, as well as the rest of the Cabinets To Go team, to provide support in all aspects of the financial department.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reconciliation: Responsible for reconciling, analyzing, and preparing journal entries related to revenue and general and administrative expense and other related accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Accurate daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly report creation, publication, and analysis.
- Month-End Variance Reporting: Supports month-end variance reporting for inclusion into financial package.
- Financial Reporting Generation: Supports generation of monthly internal and external financial reporting.
- 1099 Filings: Responsible for 1099 filings.
- HR Support: Responsible for assisting with HR functions related to reconciling and posting.
- Bank Account Reconciliation: Responsible for daily and monthly month-end reconciliation of bank accounts, including daily review and research of exception items.
- Tax Audits: Responsible for tax-related audits.
- Business License and Property Tax Returns: Responsible for Business License and Property Tax Returns.
- Interim and Year-End Audit Requirements: Assists with interim and year-end audit requirements.
- Exception Item Resolution: Independently reconciles, researches, and resolves exception items of all types of account activity.
- Process Improvement: Aids in reviewing and standardizing procedures to improve efficiency of department.
- Special Projects: Responsible for special projects as designated by management.
The Financial Operations Manager must maintain the general ledger and supporting records for Cabinets To Go. This is safeguarded by following company policy and procedures, which include proper documentation, review of data for accuracy, and adherence to all accounting controls. It is essential that this individual produces a high caliber of work with a minimal error rate.
Requirements:- Education/Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of previous accounting experience.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting: Must know knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Must be analytical and have problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Must possess strong verbal/written communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Organizational and Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, team player, and attention to detail skills are essential.
- Multi-Tasking and Time Management: Ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of PC-based accounting software and Microsoft Office applications are essential. Advanced Excel skills are required. QuickBooks and ERP knowledge.
- Accounting Principles: A working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
