Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify demographic and financial information for patients undergoing pain management procedures
  • Communicate with patients to educate them on their financial responsibilities and provide estimated out-of-pocket costs
  • Make appointments for patients and ensure they understand their scheduling requirements
  • Obtain prior approvals from payers for our client's services
  • Review chart documentation to ensure patients meet medical policy guidelines
  • Prioritize incoming prior authorization requests according to urgency
  • Follow up regularly on pending cases and denied authorizations
  • Comply with HIPAA compliance policies

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical scheduling or financial coordination role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies
