Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Advocate Health. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide efficient and effective customer service to patients and their families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient scheduling, registration, and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect payment from patients at the time of service, entering accurate and up-to-date billing information into the patient accounting system.
  • Maximize revenue by ensuring accurate and timely billing and follow-up processes.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-3 years of customer service experience in a high-volume, high-stress environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills, with the ability to solve problems and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and billing processes preferred.
