Patient Service Representative

West Suburban Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and service.
Job Summary:The Patient Service Representative will be responsible for interviewing patients and their families to identify concerns and special needs that arise during their course of treatment. You will work directly with various members of the healthcare team, hospital departments, and administration to solve problems and facilitate a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize empathetic listening skills to understand patient concerns and preferences
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to resolve issues and concerns
- Investigate and report patient complaints and concerns to the appropriate staff and department leaders
- Collaborate with the patient experience team to develop and implement action plans to improve patient satisfaction
- Provide input on opportunities for system improvements and participate in quality initiatives
- 3 years of clinical experience in a clinical specialty area
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak and write English to the extent necessary for safe and efficient performance of the job
