Job Summary

The Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager works collaboratively with the Team Leads, Producer, and Account Administrator managing a book of business.

Coordinates and provides day-to-day service for employee benefits clients by maintaining client relationships, supporting client retention, maintaining strong carrier relationships, and understanding client needs.

Serves as day-to-day contact and provides resolution for client questions and issues.

Job Duties

Maintaining Client Relationships

Maintains client relationships, supports client retention, maintains strong carrier relationships, and understands client needs.

Collaborating on Delivering Multi-Year Strategic Plan

Collaborates on delivering multi-year strategic plan.

Managing Projects

Manages projects in concert with the client including, but not limited to, all vendor implementation.

Providing Benchmarking Reports

Provides benchmarking reports to client (annually, quarterly, or monthly).

Managing Claims and Coverage Issue Resolution

Manages claims and coverage issue resolution for clients' employees when elevated from HR.

Providing Assistance with Clients' Billing and Eligibility Audits

Provides assistance with clients' billing and eligibility audits, and on occasion may conduct these audits for clients independently if not handled or escalated by Account Administrator.

Advising and Guiding Clients in Compliance Matters

Advises and guides clients in compliance matters and sends monthly reports to client as needed.

Facilitating Preparation of Open Enrollment (OE) Packets

Facilitates preparation of open enrollment (OE) packets including SBCs and disclosure notices, when not completed by Account Administrator.

Creating Employee Benefit Booklets

Creates employee benefit booklets, when not completed by Account Administrator.

Developing Open Enrollment Presentations and Conducting Benefits Webinars

If there is no Account Executive on the team, develops open enrollment presentations and conducts benefits webinars and/or records Brainshark presentations for employees and HR Managers.

Managing New Carrier, Plan, or Vendor Implementation

Manages new carrier, plan, or vendor implementation including benefits administration system build-out and project management.

Installing and Regularly Updating Client Specific Data in BenefitPoint

Installs and regularly updates client specific data in BenefitPoint.

Performing Contract Review and Facilitating Preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria, and POP Plan Documents

Performs contract review and facilitates preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria, and POP Plan documents.

Facilitating 5500 Preparation

Facilitates 5500 preparation.

Preparing Master Group Files, Client Contact Sheet, and Maintaining Carrier Files

Prepares master group files, client contact sheet, and maintains carrier files.

Handling Renewal Prep

Handles Renewal Prep.

Assisting in the RFP Process

Assists in the RFP process as needed, such as proposal development including preparing census, entering and updating pivotal information as needed, on-line quoting, and marketing a group when requested.

Providing Mentorship

Provide mentorship with Account Administrator/Assistant Plan Analyst were applicable.

Coordinating Client Contact Changes

Coordinates client contact changes with Producer/Account Executive.

Organizing Client Meetings

Organizes client meetings with other team members.

Making Sure the Client is Aware of the Resources That HUB Offers

Makes sure the client is aware of the resources that HUB offers.

Attending Industry-Related Continuing Education Training and Courses

Attends industry-related continuing education training and courses.

Must Follow HUB Broker Standards

Must follow HUB Broker Standards.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree).

Experience

2-5 years of related experience working as an Account Manager or Account Representative in the employee benefit arena (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable).

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of self-funding plans.

Client-facing experience.

L&H License required.

Experience with Agency Management systems preferred.

Proficiency using MS Excel.

Department

Account Management & Service.

Required Experience

2-5 years of relevant experience.

Required Travel

Up to 25%.

Required Education

Associate degree (2-year degree).
