We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food and Beverage Intern to join our team at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. As a Food and Beverage Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of food and beverage operations, including on-the-floor service, kitchen coverage, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Assist with food and beverage preparation, including menu planning, inventory management, and food presentation.
- Support the back-of-house team with tasks such as data entry, report compilation, and menu distribution.
- Attend BEO meetings to assist with banquet operations and event planning.
- Manage incoming catering inquiries and distribute event information as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest computer programs and innovations in the hospitality industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- College coursework in a related field helpful.
- Computer knowledge and skills required.
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
This is a light work position, requiring the ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly.
