Job Summary

This role contributes to Sanctuary's success by delivering exceptional guest experiences through high-quality, consistent liquor service. The Lead Bartender will ensure that the highest standards of guest service are met, working collaboratively with the food and beverage service team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert knowledge of spirits, cigars, and wines by the glass, as well as elements wine list and regions, styles, and varietals of wines offered.
  • Manage the bar area, maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout service.
  • Lead the bartending team by example, demonstrating skill, knowledge, and attitude.
  • Train new bartending staff and continue education of existing staff, including micros training and proper cash handling procedures.
  • Develop and implement new Mixology 101 classes, showcasing creativity and passion for mixology.
  • Assist with liquor room organization, inventory management, and beverage inventory.
  • Monitor and maintain speed of service standards, ensuring efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of micros ordering system and check processing procedures.
  • Ability to lift and transport heavy trays up to 75 lbs. on slippery surfaces.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify, address, and resolve conflict.
  • Possess excellent guest relations skills and live the Sanctuary Commitments.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent.
  • Current Food Handler's Card.
  • 5 years or more of experience in food and beverage, with previous bartender experience and working wine and spirits knowledge.
