The Comprehensive Transition Post-secondary (CTP) program supports students with intellectual disabilities who want to continue academic, career, and independent skills instruction. This position requires administrative leadership, program development, and advocacy skills to ensure delivery of high-quality, inclusive education and support services.


About the Opportunity

This role is part of the Academic Affairs - Saffrin Center team and involves developing and refining the overall vision, goals, and objectives of CTP. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing innovative curriculum frameworks and instructional methodologies tailored to the unique needs and abilities of students;
  • Collaborating with faculty, staff, community partners, and stakeholders to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment;
  • Engaging in program fund development opportunities through marketing and community outreach, grant writing activities, and assisting individuals/families navigating Medicaid Waiver processes;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing postsecondary education programs for students with disabilities;
  • Recruiting and enrolling a diverse cohort of students with intellectual disabilities;
  • Aiding in the development and/or facilitation of campus- and community-based internships;

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a master's or doctoral degree in Education, Special Education, Disability Studies, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. They should have substantial experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and strong leadership qualities.

Other requirements include familiarity with federal and state laws governing disability rights, special education, and postsecondary education, as well as expertise in curriculum development, program design, and assessment methodologies.
