We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Merchandise Expert to join our team at Target. As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for our guests, ensuring the sales floor is zoned, in stock, and accurately signed, and executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional guest service, including greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure the sales floor is visually appealing, with merchandise properly displayed and signed, and that inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Execute daily/weekly workload, including processing inbound deliveries, completing backroom audits, and maintaining backroom and fixture room organization.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, sales trends, and company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
