Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Development Leadership: Provide strategic guidance on planning, optimizing, and designing new functionality for our sales and related web properties.
  • Website Enhancement: Drive enhancements for our websites, ensuring alignment with our architecture, infrastructure, and security requirements.
  • Team Management: Lead a high-performing team of developers, specializing in areas including UI development, API development, integration, database, and back-end development.
  • Third-Party Integration: Oversee the integration of third-party APIs and tools to enhance our digital properties.
  • Tech Stack Evolution: Drive the evolution of our tech stack and strategy, emphasizing a framework-driven approach, primarily in React and Nest/Next.js.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional business teams, including product, marketing, and compliance, to meet their objectives.
  • Code Maintenance: Maintain our current architecture and code base in PHP, HTML/CSS, and Postgresql.
  • Problem Solving: Guide the team in problem-solving, LOE estimation, management of tech debt, and debugging.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience managing software/dev teams.
  • Extensive experience with PHP, Postgresql, React, and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of SQL (Postgresql) and performance considerations for APIs pulling from SQL databases.
  • Experience architecting with and using technologies such as AWS lambdas, Elasticsearch, Vercel, Kubernetes, Headless CMS, and Heroku.
  • Experience using GitHub, version control systems, and managing devops processes.
  • Strong communication and human capital management skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
