Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housing Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating move-out needs for families moving into their own housing and providing housing placement services to residential families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate move-out procedures with families, including meeting with families to discuss plans and needs, and coordinating with donor services and volunteer services to address client needs.
  • Generate and compile client outcomes and reports within HMIS and Excel for reporting to funders.
  • Maintain the Kitchenette spreadsheet and enter client case notes and data through HMIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Submit furniture requests through the Flow Trac inventory system and assist with delivery and setup as needed.
  • Communicate with property managers to obtain rental receipts and kitchenette documentation.
  • Visit and meet with community service providers, service organizations, and institutions to maintain self-sufficient living.
  • Provide support for housing-related classes, orientation, and workshops, and create housing plans and assist with placements.
  • Coordinate with the Housing Team to complete inspections and participate in Metropolitan Ministries' holiday efforts and fund-raising events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or human services field required; experience in furniture setup preferred.
  • Ability to work with low socio-economic and diverse populations facing crisis situations in a professional and diplomatic manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and ability to write reports and conduct meetings.
  • Must have adequate hearing and speaking ability, be capable of working outdoors, and have the physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress.
What We Offer
  • Salary: $44,000-$46,000
