At Metropolitan Ministries, we are dedicated to providing life-changing solutions for those who are homeless and at risk of becoming homeless in our community.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Interim Housing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating move-out needs for families moving into their own housing and providing housing placement services to residential families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate move-out needs for families moving into their own housing
  • Provide housing placement services to residential families
  • Organize and inventory supplies for families moving into their own housing
  • Generate and compile client outcomes and reports within HMIS and Excel for reporting to funders
  • Maintain the Kitchenette spreadsheet
  • Enter client case notes and data through HMIS, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Submit furniture requests through the Flow Trac inventory system
  • Assist in the coordination of delivery and setup of furniture needs
  • Communicate with property managers to obtain rental receipts and kitchenette documentation
  • Visit and meet with community service providers, service organizations, and institutions to support self-sufficient living
  • Provide support for housing-related classes, orientation, and workshops
  • Provide housing assistance and create housing plans
  • Coordinate with the Housing Team to complete inspections
  • Participate in Metropolitan Ministries' holiday efforts and attend required staff meetings and trainings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or human services field
  • Experience in furniture setup preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in sunlight and higher temperatures on occasion
  • Physical, emotional, and spiritual stamina to handle job-related issues and stress
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
