About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Officer to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for our clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for patients, physicians, and clinical staff, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the patient experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical quality, safety, and efficiency, leveraging evidence-based best practices and data-driven insights.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for quality and safety initiatives, including peer review, credentialing, and privileging.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement clinical programs and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, including budgeting, financial planning, and human resources management.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in a clinical leadership role, with a strong track record of success in quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, with licensure from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Experience with clinical program development and implementation, with a focus on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
