Perinatal Care Provider

We are looking for a Women's Healthcare Specialist to join our obstetrics and gynecology department at Jamaica Hospital. This individual will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to improve health outcomes for women and families.
Main Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to expecting mothers and women, including routine check-ups, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans.
- Surgical Support: Assist during cesarean sections and other surgical procedures, working closely with the surgical team.
- Newborn Care: Provide care to newborns during the first 28 days of life, addressing any concerns or complications that may arise.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the L&D team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for mother and baby.
- Education: A Master's degree is required; successful completion of the American Midwifery Certification Board licensing exam is also necessary.
- Certifications/Licenses: Current NY State Midwifery Registration, DEA, BLS, NRP are essential.
- Skills and Qualities: Display compassion, empathy, and genuine concern for patients and their newborns; remain up-to-date with the latest medical software; work effectively as part of a team.
