About the Role

At Connecticut Children's, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care to children with behavioral health needs. As a Pediatric Behavioral Health Nurse, you'll play a vital role in our team, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients with behavioral health concerns, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families, providing education and support to promote healthy behaviors and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric behavioral health or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
