Job Description

Zebra Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Network and Cybersecurity Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network architectures for our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network and security architectures for IT systems
  • Develop and review installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and related network devices
  • Provide consulting support to business stakeholders on network and security matters
  • Design and implement network infrastructure in support of disaster and cyber recovery exercises
  • Produce and maintain documentation to support network and security architecture long-range plans
  • Provide level 3 support and respond to network security and operation incidents, providing thorough post-event analysis
  • Review and validate network security changes
  • Develop project timelines for ongoing system upgrades, focusing on continuous improvement of system network security posture
  • Develop project timelines for merger and acquisition environments, analyzing pre-built environments and establishing checkpoints for standardization
  • Develop knowledge transfer material, including knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures, to aid in shift-left opportunities
  • Review system network security measures and implement necessary enhancements following change control review process
  • Drive regular tests and monitoring of network security and performance
  • Update job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging network and security infrastructures, operation practices, and standards, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
  • Responsible for compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and industry best practices
  • Perform technology evaluations, including analysis and proof of concept testing
  • Maintain cloud standards for cloud environments, including GCP, AWS, Azure, and OCI

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience required
  • Strong working knowledge of IT network infrastructure, network security, cloud networks, cloud security, and network/computer operating software
  • Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security
  • Solid understanding of 802.1x and NAC solutions
  • Solid understanding of WAN technologies, including MPLS and DMPVN phase III mesh networks
  • Working knowledge and experience of routing metric manipulation for WAN protocols

  • Manages in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Underlay and overlayed networks and connectivity
  • Experience implementing networks, cloud networks, and network security solutions
  • Demonstrates excellent documentation skills and development of high/low-level designs
