Job Summary:

The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficient operation of the organization's computer systems. This role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, and leading a team of systems administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system availability and reliability.

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Respond to and mitigate security incidents and breaches.

Lead and mentor a team of systems administrators, providing guidance and training.

Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

10 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on progressively more complex responsibilities.

Server hardware and virtualization experience. VMware and Nutanix experience is a plus.

Management experience with antivirus, Entra ID, and MDM, as well as experience with CrowdStrike and Microsoft Intune.

Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server), virtualization technologies, and cloud computing platforms.

Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols.

Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools.

Project management skills.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
