We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at The Crox Group in San Francisco, CA. This is a 6+ month local-hybrid position with an estimated salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year.

This role involves preparing financial statements, including annual and quarterly SEC reports, XBRL, regulatory reports, and other types of reporting. You will provide specialized or general analysis and support in various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quarterly and Annual Reports: Prepare and coordinate the comments collection process for quarterly and annual reports to the SEC (Forms 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K) in Workiva, ensuring required disclosures and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Reports: Prepare reports to the Office of Finance and the Federal Housing Finance Agency, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Presentations: Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations of financial results for executive leadership teams.
  • Analytical Support: Analyze variances and trends in financial statements as part of the monthly reporting process.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide analytical and operational support in response to queries from the SEC and other stakeholders, collecting input from Legal and other departments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with SEC and Financial Accounting Standards Board issues and interpretations, suggesting enhanced disclosures when applicable.
  • Report Development: Help develop and maintain key reports in Workday Financials for improved analysis of financial condition and results of operations.
  • Audit Support: Accumulate support, prepare audit trails, and compile data from sources throughout the Bank for inclusion in various reports.
  • Collaboration: Participate in an FHLBanks System Controllers' working group preparing the annual combined financial statements template facilitated by the Office of Finance.
  • Review and Assessment: Review quarterly and annual Combined Financial Reports issued by the Office of Finance, assessing required disclosures.
  • Internal Controls: Analyze and propose updates to internal control matrices in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Guidance and Advice: Provide guidance and advice to other departments on accounting treatment of certain issues, as necessary.
  • Best Practices: Collaborate with other Federal Home Loan Banks to improve consistency among disclosures and share best practices for financial reporting and Workday Financials.
  • Automation: Explore and implement automation tools related to financial reporting.
  • Document Retention: Serve as the financial reporting department's document retention coordinator.

We require a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A CPA, MBA, or Post-baccalaureate degree/certificate is strongly preferred. Minimum two years of applicable accounting and/or auditing experience within an accounting firm or a financial institution is also preferred.
