Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. In this role, you will be responsible for the financial management of our organization.

About the Role

The Financial Management Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all invoices are timely and accurate, promoting timely payment from funders, and assisting in the development of annual agency budgets and periodic financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Finance and Planning, manage the financial aspects of the organization.
  • In coordination with Associate Director of Finance and Planning, oversee monthly invoicing of grants and contracts according to funder requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, promoting prompt payment from funders.
  • Assist in developing annual agency budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Work closely with Program and Administrative Directors to enhance financial management against budgets.
  • Conduct regular financial assessments with Directors, generating reports for CFO and senior management.
  • Collaborate with Senior Controller to ensure accuracy of financial records and adherence to regulations.
  • Support Development department and Senior Controller in managing restricted private donations and financial reports to funders.
  • Coordinate compliance audits with public and private agencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Prior experience in grants management, financial planning, and budgeting is advantageous.
  • Strong forecasting, budget monitoring, and time management skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to meet deadlines are required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
