Job Title: Infusion Nursing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Infusion Nursing Specialist to join our team at Curbside Infusion in McAllen, TX. This is a part-time position that requires a strong background in infusion therapy and the ability to work independently.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in need of intravenous treatment. This includes administering therapeutic treatments as directed by physicians, determining appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site, observing patients' IV treatment, and recording observations in patient medical records.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform infusion therapy as directed by physician orders
  • Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure
  • Observe, assess, and document symptoms via nurses note timely
  • Monitor reactions and patient progress
  • Educate patients and/or caregivers on disease processes, medications, side effects/risks
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for next therapy
  • Notify the physician and other personnel of change in the patient's condition
  • Perform skills outlined in the agency's approved policy and procedure manual
  • Update clinical records according to policy and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with continuing education programs, seminars, and self-study programs annually
  • Perform inventory count before and after clinic daily and communicate needs to necessary personnel
Requirements:
  • Be a licensed nurse with a current license
  • Minimum of one year of infusion nursing experience
  • Ability to work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff
