Role Overview:

As a Software Product Manager, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial strategic planning through to product retirement. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to create compelling product roadmaps and business cases that drive value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product lifecycle management process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop comprehensive Market Requirement Definitions (MRDs) and Product Requirement Definitions (PRDs).
  • Engage with clients and industry experts to shape product vision and strategy.
  • Support the creation of product documentation, including technical notes and marketing materials.
  • Assist in resolving engineering, manufacturing, and deployment challenges.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant product delivery.
  • Contribute to the establishment of robust product management practices across the organization.
  • Define and communicate the strategic direction for Trilliant's SmartGrid network solutions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform product positioning.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for designated product solutions.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and business development teams to support RFP responses.
  • Establish product strategy and roadmap with prioritized features.
  • Assess potential partnerships and licensing opportunities with external parties.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams and conduct product demonstrations.
  • Set pricing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Develop sales enablement tools and resources.
  • Prepare and propose budgets to ensure product success.
  • Train and brief the sales team during quarterly meetings.
  • Exhibit leadership within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in product management.
  • Preferred experience in the smart grid or utility sectors.
  • Technical expertise in streetlighting, electric meters, and commercial IoT protocols.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching products.
  • Strong understanding of wireless communication networks and relevant standards.
  • Experience in the utility market is highly desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capability to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrated examples of effective documentation.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
