Join Our Team as a Smart Building Specialist Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Smart Building Specialist Intern at Siemens Industry, Inc. in Cary, NC. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure.

About the Role

The Smart Building Specialist Intern will be responsible for assisting our team in various departments, including sales, projects, and service. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, such as visiting customer sites, classroom learning, on-the-job training, and shadowing. This internship is a 10-week program, and you will be expected to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with customers to diagnose and resolve HVAC/Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security electronic control system malfunctions.
  • Consult with internal engineering and management teams to resolve discrepancies in drawings or address problems that arise.
  • Interface with customers to complete service work documentation, assist with training instructions, and recommend system enhancements.
Requirements
  • Must have a high school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • Currently enrolled in a 2-year Technical College/School pursuing a certificate in HVAC/R, Building Automation, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, and Built Environment or Computer Science.
  • Earliest Graduation Date: August 2025.
  • Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program.
  • Relocation: Must be willing and able to work at the location on-site and surrounding local area.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate of $20 per hour for first-time interns and $22 per hour for returning interns. Additionally, interns are eligible to contribute to our 401K program. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and development.
