About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Learning Tree International Usa, Inc. as a Cybersecurity Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and securing new business opportunities in the Cybersecurity Practice Area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Achieve defined new business revenue goals through new logo acquisition.
  • Act as a subject matter champion in Cybersecurity products and services to demonstrate knowledge and create strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Generate own leads through creative prospecting and industry networking/event participation targeted at leading commercial organizations and government agencies.
  • Qualify, nurture, and close leads generated by Marketing.
  • Conduct market research to identify new client targets and capitalize on market trends.
  • Deliver dynamic presentations and customer pitches that differentiate us from the competition.
  • Create compelling proposals that demonstrate customer value and business impact.
  • Identify RFP and programmatic opportunities to accelerate growth.
  • Progress pipeline efficiently to maximize win ratio.

About You:

You will be a resilient and persistent professional with significant experience in consultative sales, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry. You will have a proven track record of exceeding targets in new business development and have a strategic mindset with strong negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies and concepts is a plus so you can act as the subject matter champion. Adept at engaging senior client stakeholders, presenting and facilitating client meetings, you will have an appetite for impactful and creative prospecting. You will be a professional communicator and be able to use CRM and pipeline software effectively.

Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity Business Development Manager is responsible for selling cybersecurity courses and services to organizations and businesses. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and winning new business within Learning Tree's Cybersecurity Practice Area. The incumbent will look beyond Learning Tree's existing customer base to expand market share and contribute to our ongoing growth trajectory. Whilst marketing is supported, the incumbent will generate its leads through creative prospecting outreach, networking, and industry event attendance. They will have the mindset to relentlessly pursue new business targets as well as the ability to engage strategically with senior client stakeholders to demonstrate the value of Learning Tree's high-quality Cybersecurity programs. The incumbent will also leverage Learning Tree's globally recognizable brand to target large 'Blue Chip' organizations, as well as sell to existing customers who do not generate Cybersecurity revenue. This role presents an opportunity to build a new business line for Learning Tree and expand a client portfolio that consists of some of the largest global corporations and government agencies. The Cybersecurity Practice offering is market-leading and is already building compelling client testimonies. The incumbent will play a key role in supporting Learning Tree's mission to transform the careers of the individuals we support and develop workforce talent for our customers in order for them to increase competitive advantage and grow revenue. A proven track record of success in a new business sales environment is essential, as well as demonstrated experience in selling service-based solutions. Experience in selling learning solutions (particularly cybersecurity programs) would be an advantage.
