Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Lead Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Production Management team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of Amazon's utility computing web services and designing resilient, secure, and high-performing platforms in the public cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategy to leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) for broad use cases, including infrastructure, applications, and data analytics.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based solutions using JPMC best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences.
  • Provide primary operational support and engineering for the public cloud platform, including debugging and optimizing systems and automating routine tasks.
  • Drive cost management through the effective design and optimization of public cloud platforms and technologies.
  • Organize and run game days, resiliency tests, and chaos engineering exercises to ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud-based systems.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • 8+ years in a technical development or lead role, with a strong understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance, and monitoring.
  • Candidates must be certified with AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional.
  • Experience with high-volume, mission-critical applications and their interdependencies with other applications and databases.
  • Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, and S3.
  • Knowledge of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
