About the Role

General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems is seeking a highly skilled Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Camden, AR. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in planning, designing, and constructing manufacturing facilities and related structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Determine the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
  • Confer with vendors to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.
  • Evaluate products based on specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Required Education: Associate's Degree
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Manufacturing Engineering or other engineering field required
  • Years and Area of Experience: 8-10 years' experience
