Job Summary:
Southern States is a leading manufacturer of engineer-to-order products, seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing manufacturing capabilities and efficiency gains, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop manufacturing tools, dies, and fixtures to improve production efficiency. Specify, evaluate, and coordinate capital equipment investments and purchases. Develop and implement manufacturing methods to reduce costs and improve quality. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Design layouts of equipment and workspaces for maximum efficiency. Lead and plan cost reductions and product launches. Plan, design, and implement rapid improvement (lean, 6 sigma) technology to reduce production lead times and work-in-process inventory.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field. 4+ years of related work experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks. Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization. Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with tooling and die. CNC machining and fabrication experience. Knowledge of processes involving capital purchases and implementations. Experience in Lean Six Sigma. Coding languages. Automation and PLC experience.
