At Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center founded in 1978, we are committed to delivering quality, comprehensive services to diverse communities. Our network of medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics serves over 90 locations throughout Washington State.
We are seeking a dedicated Child and Family Therapist to join our team in Mount Vernon, WA. The successful candidate will provide individual and/or family therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and lead groups. In addition, they will refer patients to medication providers, primary physicians, and other community partners as needed.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to accurately diagnose mental health issues and develop treatment plans based on diagnosis. They should be willing to work later hours and within schools or non-traditional settings.
Responsibilities- Assist with maintaining agency compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures as directed by the Program Director.
- Educate staff on mental health service referrals and psycho-educational topics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of mental health services.
The Child and Family Therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care to children and families. This includes collaborating with Primary Care Physicians, Substance Abuse Counselors, schools, case workers, and other professionals involved in patient care.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. A Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work is required, along with a license in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work. Computer proficiency with Cerner and MS Office is also essential.
Sea Mar offers a competitive salary range of $73,528.00 - $81,604.00 annually, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, as well as paid-time-off and retirement options.
