We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Life Care Center of Mount Vernon. Our post-acute care facility is dedicated to providing high-quality nursing and therapy services in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide direct rehabilitation care to patients in occupational therapy, as referred by physicians, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

  • To establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals for patients.

  • To oversee and evaluate the care given by occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and students.

  • To chart appropriately and timely, utilizing therapy software accurately.

  • To exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.

Requirements
  • NBCOT certification upon hire, with renewal optional thereafter.

  • Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT).

  • Currently registered/licensed in the applicable State, with active licensure in good standing throughout employment.

  • One year experience in post-acute care or a related setting preferred.

  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation, with ongoing maintenance.
