About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our perioperative registered nurses to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer to and from the operating room.
  • Operate and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
