About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic CT examinations and procedures, including neuro, chest, abdominal, and extremity scans.
  • Administer contrast agents for CT exams and maintain proper equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Prepare reports on any events or incidents related to the quality of service provided by the department.
  • Assist in developing quality control procedures for new radiologic examinations and modifying existing procedures as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid radiology certification and meet the credentialing standards in 42 CFR Part 75.
  • Have one year of specialized experience in performing diagnostic CT examinations and procedures, administering contrast agents, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Who May Apply: US Citizens
  • In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing diagnostic CT examinations/procedures, administering contrast for CT exams/procedures and maintaining proper equipment.

OR

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as diagnostic radiology/radiography.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirement is at least 100%.

Hours: 1430 to 2300 hours Monday through Friday.

Hours: Weekends 07:00-15:30 and two 8 hour days during the week (days are flexible).

Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
