Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at North Star Diagnostic Imaging. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic mammography procedures, focusing on patient care and education.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality diagnostic and screening mammograms
  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients
  • Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them and adjusting immobilization devices
  • Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, with no weekends or call. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for diagnostic imaging.
