About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT examinations and procedures, administering contrast for CT exams, and maintaining proper equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently makes examinations after conferring with the radiologist to establish the examination requirements.
  • Performs the full range of diagnostic CT examinations/procedures, including but not limited to: neuro, chest, abdominal, chest, pediatric, extremity, body, muscular skeletal.
  • Monitors equipment status indicators to prevent damage.
  • Prepares reports on any event or incident related to the quality of service provided by the department.
  • Assists the supervisor in developing quality control procedures for new radiologic examinations as they are introduced into the Radiology Department and modifies existing procedures as the need arises.
Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirement of having a radiology certification and one year of specialized experience in performing diagnostic CT examinations/procedures, administering contrast for CT exams, and maintaining proper equipment. Alternatively, you can meet the requirement with a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in a field directly related to the work of the position.
