This is a Direct Hire Solicitation for a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist position located at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Center in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of difficult examinations, including computerized tomography.
- Advise radiologists or referring physicians of examination results and provide preliminary diagnostic evaluations.
- Prepare and administer contrast material prior to examinations.
- Set up the X-ray room and maintain sterile fields daily.
- Schedule patients for examinations.
- Public Law 97-35 requires radiologic personnel to meet credentialing standards in 42 CFR Part 75.
- Must have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation and be certified as radiographers in their field.
- One year of specialized experience performing radiographic examinations, including computerized tomography, and documenting patient examinations or results.
- One and a half years of graduate-level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as Diagnostic Radiology/Radiography.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
