About the Role

This position involves working closely with physicians, performing various clinical and administrative duties to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient clinic operations. As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vital signs, conducting phlebotomy, and updating EMR charts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Work under the direct supervision of a physician to perform patient care tasks
    • Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and conduct phlebotomy as needed
  • Administrative Support
    • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information
  • Clinical Tasks
    • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff, including chronic care management calls
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with insurance companies to facilitate proper billing procedures

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous Experience
    • Previous experience in the medical field is desired but not required; willingness to learn and adapt to new environments is essential
  • Familiarity with Direct Patient Care
    • Familiarity with direct patient care principles and practices
  • Strong Organizational Skills
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and support staff
